Our Story
My grandfather was the only one who called me "Kelita." It wasn't just a nickname. It was love, it was identity, it was connection. Years later, that name became Kelita's Cork.
I'm a mom, a wife, and the founder of Kelita's Cork. The brand began in a hospital bed, when I asked myself, "Why am I waiting to do what God already told me to do?" I learned everything from scratch, from photography to marketing to building this website, and I've learned to keep going and trust God even when things don't make sense.
Why cork?
I fell in love with cork during summers in Portugal. My grandmother always told me to embrace my natural beauty and be who God created me to be, and that became the heart of this brand. Cork is harvested from the bark of the cork oak without cutting the tree down, and the bark grows back. It's lightweight, water-resistant, vegan, and every pattern is one of a kind. Sometimes what we see as imperfect is exactly what makes something beautiful.
Beautifully made
As the mom of a child with Down syndrome, I've seen how the world tries to define beauty. But our children are beautiful, so beautifully made, just as they are.
